Monarch Butterfly Migration" is one of Meei Ling's new series of paintings with the theme "Nature of the unknown future". Artist Meei Ling Ng is a social sculptor, multimedia-installation artist, and urban farmer. Her work includes a series of edible landscapes that combine urban farming with site-specific art installation. Using her extensive artistic and ecological knowledge, she seeks to alter the living space of the city, transforming concrete ground into urban farms that sustain city residents in need, especially the homeless community. By always working with nature as a material or media, her catalogue of projects and works reimagine public interactions with the margins of urban space, systems of community and narrative real-time experience.
